Another great mash-up idea. The editing was perfect, if I hadn't seen the original films before I would almost think this might be a legitimate short film. As others have stated it would have been a little better with a more well defined ending but I don't think it detracts from the overall enjoyment too much. My only nitpick, and it is a nitpick, is the that ship noticeably changes because the ship from Wall-E and Final Fantasy don't have the same shape. Highly recommend!

Superlative short here, mixing two (in my mind) incongruous films, WALL-E and Final Fantasy.
Does it work? Absolutely.
The intro is helpful, explaining WALL-E’s desire to depart Earth.
While other reviewers have expressed dismay with the open ending, that struck me as OK.
Adventures, especially spontaneous trips, are often unpredictable.
I like to think things will work out well for the small robot.
Someone could always craft a followup short.

tv's frink - jan 9 2010

I liked this quite a bit. I really enjoyed the original Wall-E until he got off the planet, so for me the ending actually worked very well. And the opening text was helpful in appreciating the ending. The mixing of the two sources was done very well. My only disappointment was the lack of 5.1, something that really would have put this over the top for me. By the way, I also thought for a moment that Wall-E was running away, rather than chasing after the humans, but overall it still worked fine for me. 9/10
