Transformers: Resparked

I really enjoyed this one and have shared it with others. Reave got rid of most of the stuff that bugged me about it and so far, this is my ultimate version of the movie. The only thing I can think of that I’d've kept in was the ‘probably Japanese’ line, and removed Optimus saying ‘Oops, my bad.’ I don’t like anyone saying that, especially truck robots.

Overall, I give it a 9/10. Better than the original and well executed.

This will be my go to version for this movie. Gone are the excessively bad jokes and most of the scenes that weighed the movie down. What we get is a fast paced, action packed giant robot movie. We hardly feel like the editor removed anything and when we do the moment goes by so quickly that we hardly have time to notice it because he emulated Michael Bay’s frenetic editing style.

Some of the humor was left in but in all the right spots. This is not a version that attempts to remove ALL humor. Humor has its purpose and Reave made, in my opinion, all the right choices about what to leave in and what to leave out.

Extremely well executed, I give this a 9/10.

After reave properly prepaired me ("Look, I made this one on Womble and didn't know what I was doing sometimes") I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this.

I think the first Transformers movie is great and Resparked does it's job well. It's a pretty straight-forward edit, movie less dumb now. You can't convince me it's a masterpiece though.

Quality was good for DVD, audio sounded a bit soft at times. Editing wasn't noticeable, good stuff.
