Thor - The Dark World: Hard Forged Edition

I enjoyed the original THOR THE DARK WORLD immensely. It was solid, if predictable, comic book formula fun.

But I must admit, I enjoyed TM2YC's version equally. I think the reordered scenes play stronger, but at the same time I felt the first act was a bit too plot driven, I think I would have preferred one or two breather scenes (the hall or Thor with Frigga).

This is definitely a faster paced, roller coaster ride edit, and it is very fun.
Video quality is excellent and technically I could find no fault with any of the new scenes, cuts or new fx. The new subtitles are excellent and a vast improvement over the original.

Great entertainment and well worth watching!

Very good edit. Agreed with all of the changes, and the picture quality/technical efforts were excellent. I would consider this a replacement version for any future viewings. I still don't love the movie, but the edit is solid and does what it claims to on the box. Well done!

This was my first viewing of Thor 2 (skipped the theater and the BD sits untouched on my shelf) and I was fairly pleased with it. I'm not a huge Thor fan and don't think this film is all that great, but it's a fun ride most of the time.

TM2YC's editing is excellent. With only 7 minutes cut you'd assume not much work went into it. But instead of just cutting a couple bad scenes he took the time to tighten the pacing and improve dialogue throughout. All without calling any attention to itself.

Very recommended for fans of Thor 2.

The original is one of my least favorite Marvel movies. I enjoyed it a lot more this time around but even with the edit I still couldn't love it. Taking out the Sif love triangle stuff was great. I hate how cliche Jane is though, I personally can't stand her. Taking out a lot of the marvel-jokes worked wonders on the movie. It was much more bearable to watch, I just wish it could be shortened even more!

This edit does a very serviceable job cleaning up the original film, which was somewhat bland. The rewritten dialogue for the villains is a fantastic touch, but there is only so much an edit can do with the source material. I would give visual editing a 10, however there editing fixture that confused me if only momentarily. The hiccup I write of is in what seems to be the middle of a scene it fads to black, only to return back to the same scene.
