Phase3's Tarantino Tales installment picks up right from where Greentrurnedblue's left off and wastes no time getting into the action. Though, being the only real two parter in the Tales, it might have benefited from a 70s style "Previously On..." pre-titles sequence. Though I realize this would have impacted the Editor's mandated 60 minute runtime goal.
Much like the other installments, condensing Tarantino's epics down to 60 minutes much nuances are lost in these highlight reel spectacles and certain relationships are unclear. In this case, Sophie suffers. In this installment, I do not know why the Ironside cue plays when the Bride sees her.
This brings up the subject of new audio work. Overall, some fantastic SFX has been done throughout, much of it very subtle and masterfully executed. Many scenes I could not discern what was new and what was added. So bravo. However, not all of the new music choices worked for me, particularly Bill's death scene. But that is subjective.
Overall, a very fast paced and fun ride!
