Star Wars: The Coaxium Heist

In an attempt to get as much hype as possible for the release of Episode 9, I decided to go with the most "Star Wars-y" version of Solo that I could. And I was glad I did! I'm not a huge fan of Solo, but this edit made it a lot more enjoyable for some reason. I may be mis-remembering the original, but the characters seemed more tolerable and the story seemed to flow much better, especially when watching this edit in sequence with the rest of the franchise.

Can't wait to check out Rise of the Rebellion for the fifth film in my rewatch!

I really enjoyed this edit. The pacing was a little better and Darth Maul being removed made the ending a little more impactful in my opinion (more focused on Han and Qi'ra. Excellent edit.

Every choice you made for this edit was well thought out and nicely executed. I have a new love for this movie.

As much as I love the entire Star Wars saga, I fell asleep during the theatrical release of Solo. I didn't fall asleep here, which already is a testament to the quality of this edit. DigModiFicaTion did an awesome job keeping it moving and getting rid of some of the useless stuff. It FEELS like Star Wars to me now, which makes it the version that I will watch going forward. Solo was a flawed movie but one I enjoyed none the less.

Bogged down by misplaced humour, unnecessary side plots, over saturated colors and lacking a genuine Star Wars feeling it wears its troubled production history on its sleeve and is very much a diamond in the rough. The Coaxium Heist takes that diamond and polishes it to a high sheen. The changes made benefit the film's pacing and streamline the narrative leaving an enjoyable, witty and decidedly more Star Wars-esque romp through a galaxy far away. The video and audio editing are both excellent and aside from one transition which used a custom image there is nothing that breaks the illusion. From when the custom crawl begins until the wipe to the credits this is very much the full Star Wars experience you've been looking for.

To me this is the definitive edition of Solo.
