This is a great improvement on the original, perhaps largely due to reducing L3's involvement in the story (that is one annoying droid). But generally the film is improved and I found myself enjoying watching it whereas the original left me feeling unsatisfied. The "Solo" edit didn't feel quite right but the editor only has the footage available and I think it was the right decision to remove the original reason for his surname.
Overall this is a great fan edit and shows how a film can be improved with good editing. It is significantly better than the original and I would recommended it to any body who like Star Wars.

This has no right being as fun as it does; DigModification has done a tremendous job tightening the pace of this, giving it the narrative drive that the original was missing and simultaneously allowing the viewer fewer chances to mull over plot implausibilities and convenient coincidences (though hey, it would hardly be Star Wars if there weren't some of those, right?). Chewie and Han renew and strengthen their reputation as one of the great film buddy duos, and Donald Glover as Lando gets to hog the spotlight, as he should.

A great fix-up edit, deserves to be part of your next Star Wars marathon.

Can’t say much more others haven’t. This edit is much improved over the theatrical of which I found myself bored most of the film. This version is pretty much nonstop action from the very beginning. The only ding I give it is there were a few times I noticed a volume drop, but other than that this is a man awesome edit. It makes a bad movie not so bad and more tolerable.

TLJ and Solo A Star Wars Story are definitely two of the baddest movies of the SW Saga, IMO of course.

This movie is a bit more enjoyable to me due to the excellent work that DigModiFicaTion has done.

These are, for me, the high points of this edit:
+Excellent color correction that removed that gray/blue whatever tint filter that, nowadays, every filmmaker uses and we can't see nothing clearly
+The three Star Destroyers approaching Mimban scene
+A bit more action in the Battle of Mimban
+Less gibberish in general, L3 in particular

Having or removing Maul works for me.

Keep it up Digi =)

An amazing edit, highly recommended!
I did not like the theatrical release of Solo. I thought it was a bad case of fan-service, coupled with cringe-worthy dialogues. I gave this edit a chance because of my good experience with previous edits by DigModiFicaTion. And indeed - it was a delight.
As other commenters have mentioned, the first big difference is the color palette - gone is the blue hue, and everything feels more alive. The editing is wonderful, and I had to go over the changes list to find out exactly how many bits were removed. Honestly - I don't miss any of those bits, and the plot moves perfectly without them.
Moreover, removing the sexual innuendo between Lando and L3 turned their relationship into a more relatable one, and helps with immersion into the film. Additionally, trimming the explicit calls for rebellion helped shape L3's character as more than a caricature.
All in all - this edit is not only enjoyable, but re-watchable.
