Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi: Legendary is a slight improvement of the original film.
As stated by Hal, this particular edit isn't intended to be nearly as cut down or rearranged or reimagined as his previous edits, and thus from an editing standpoint once again he knocks it out of the park. The pacing is a lot better, sequences that were truncated really needed the truncation, the execution was seamless, and in the long run slightly improved Episode VIII. However, I felt there was a lot of room for improvement by going even further when it came to the humor and dialogue in the movie that is left in.
Now comes my personal feelings. I never liked this movie, it was the first Star Wars movie I've seen where the credits rolled and left me feeling angry. Aside from all the "It's not what you expected, was it?" scenes in the movie, I just found the rest of the story beats as a whole to be so uninteresting that for the first time I was bored watching Star Wars. This movie thrives in concept but failed in execution.
If you're someone who liked The Last Jedi, you'll probably love this edit of the film. If you didn't like The Last Jedi, you'll recognize the great tweaks and improvements in this specific edit, but probably won't find yourself having a 180° in opinion when the credits roll.
