Certainly a novel way of experiencing this episode, the integration of material from other films is an interesting idea (particularly the inclusion of Dooku), but I feel that I lean towards the more “traditional” edits.

Perhaps though that’s a consequence of being fairly familiar with the original (and other fanfixes), but some of the choices resulted in sections feeling a little out of place and I found myself missing music which had been swapped out. Glad to have seen it though, shows what can be achieved by somebody thinking outside the box.

Congrats on winning November 2018 Favorite Edit!

Now, time for my thoughts...

It is a refreshing way to watch TPM. Less annoyance from you know who. Changing the lines is an improvement, but my only main issue with this edit is the music, the music cues don't all flow with the scenes; they make me think of the other movies when I'm suppose to think of this movie.

I do recommend others to see this edit, other viewers might enjoy it more than I do.

I have to say when i was downloading this edit i tought it was just a cut and cut edit of a prequel
I have never been so wrong in whole my life (Hobbit 1 reference)
I don't want to give any spoilers so the only thing i will say is giving qui gon jinn a purple lightsaber was a epic choice
The edit is fantastic but you could have removed force speed and the this is pod racing line
overall great highly recommenced it

Just a great remade version of the Phantom Menace. Video editing,Narrative, audio done very well. There are somethings that I prefered from the original, like some of the music and Qui gons death and some other minor things, but other than that it was a terrific edit.

This edit falls far short of what it promised. Oh god, it sucks. Like the Famicom game Final Fantasy II, the story was thought of before other important elements, like continuity and music.

The music is a mishmash of various Star Wars themes put in without thought. When rescoring a Star Wars film, use themes that thematically link the film with the OT or other installments. Using the Funeral Pyre music for a simple conversation is just wrong, as that theme symbolizes the OT coming full circle as Luke set Vader's armor ablaze on Endor, and there are other force theme renditions you could have used. You should have just left the music mostly as is from the vanilla TPM.

While the idea of a restructured narrative is a good idea, I feel that creating new subs while using foreign dub track audio is the only way to remove the awful dialogue from the original Phantom Menace.
