The phantom editor does it again…if only he’d do EP3! Not quite enough chopped for my taste but still a MUCH more tolerable EP2.

Much like the original phantom edit, this deserves it's place in fanediting history. Arguably many edits have since improved on what the phantom editor set out to achieve here, but they all owe something to this fantastic first effort.

All faneditors should check out the commentary - it is a true lesson in what makes an edit great. We can only wish that George Lucas one day watches this himself (if he hasn't already).

Old fanedit, quality is bad. Editing was good. Movie was still bad, but much better than the theatrical. The commentary was better than the first one, but the amount of “film school douchebaggery” was annoying to me. Bonuses and easter eggs were both cool and lame.
