Star Wars - Episode IV: 2004 Special Edition Revisited

This is perfection on a scale unheard of...

There are TWO versions of Star Wars EVERY fan should own:
Harmy's Despecialized Edition (to see the ORIGINAL Star Wars film before George Lucas began messing with it)
Adywan's "Star Wars: Revisited" (to see how SPECIAL a special edition truly can be)

I alternate between the two, just to keep Star Wars feeling fresh for me. It was such a huge movie of my childhood, this keeps me feeling like a kid again when I watch this way.

I highly recommend it!

Finally got round to watching this, and it was fantastic. A massive improvement on the Special Edition and Bluray versions. I was blown away with the added effects, particularly in the final Death Star battle. The lightsaber effects were also fantastic. I look forwars to an eventual HD version!

What else can we say about this edit? It is just perfect. This man should own Lucasfilms, period.

You must watch this.

This definitely is my go-to version of ANH.

Technical quality – 10/10 – Sharp video, crystal clear audio.

Editing – 10/10 – Completely seamless.

Presentation – 10/10 – I loved the menu.

Entertainment – 9/10 – I’m not a SW nerd, so I probably didn’t notice half the changes, but the ones I did, I loved. The cantina scene, new Star Destroyer shots, lightsaber duel, and ending battle were magnificent especially. The movie looked much more updated and could be enjoyed more than ever before.

Overall – 9/10
