Star Wars - Episode IV: 2004 Special Edition Revisited

It's been awhile since I watched this, but wanted to go back and give it the high marks it deserves. The changes are so seamless that they were invisible to those in my watch party who weren't already Star Wars fanatics.

Honestly felt like I was rewatching the movie for the first time during my viewing. This edit allows the original story to shine while including appropriate modernization with tact. Weirdly enough, one of my favorite changes was the edits made to the obi wan and vader duel. Nothing over the top was done, but it made it feel much snappier while keeping the mood of a tense showdown. Only change I didn't love was removing the shockwave ring from the explosion of the deathstar, but if I'm going to count that as a serious complaint then it's clear that you'd have to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find any critiques. Would highly recommended for anyone, especially if you want to introduce a new audience member to the franchise.

A great one, truly a Special Edition for the ages

What can I say that hasn't been said before? This is the Citizen Kane of fanedits. This is what brought a whole new wave of editors to Fanedit.org. I honestly can't think of a single flaw with this. It fixed everything that couldn't be fixed after 2 official rereleases. All I gotta say is, Disney, hire this man.

There are TWO versions of Star Wars EVERY fan should own:
Harmy's Despecialized Edition (to see the ORIGINAL Star Wars film before George Lucas began messing with it)
Adywan's "Star Wars: Revisited" (to see how SPECIAL a special edition truly can be)

I alternate between the two, just to keep Star Wars feeling fresh for me. It was such a huge movie of my childhood, this keeps me feeling like a kid again when I watch this way.
