Well, there’s not much to add to what’s already gone before me. I am blown away by the amount of work that went into this. The attention to detail is so impressive, I’m sure I only caught a fraction of things that have been added or improved upon. Most notable for me were the removal of Jabba and the addition of new but still in-keeping graphics for the planning of the attack on the Death Star, plus the hologram at the Rebels HQ. The only areas I would have changed were the SE addition of Biggs before the attack (unnecessary, as the scenes with Biggs at the beginning never made the film and he was only referenced in passing) and the new edit of the scene in Ben’s home. It worked better before, quite frankly. Luke is obsessed with finding out who this Leia woman is and how he can help her. In this edit, he finds out and seems disinterested. Still, I know that when my nephew wants to watch ‘Star Wars’ for the first time, this is the DVD I will pull out. It really is that good.
