After watching the extended version of the first movie I was left pleasantly surprised by the extra content so much so I had to watch the Monster's Unleashed extended version too.
Unfortunately however only 3 deleted scenes were restored in this version and with 2 of them being quite poor and the other only lasting a couple of seconds I wouldn't recommend this edit to anyone who doesn't already have a great love for the original Monster's Unleashed movie,
However from an editing point of view it worked very well, everything (audio/video) seamlessly transitioned ok and an important but not totally necessary plot scene helped fill out the story.
Verdict:
I recommend watching the first Scooby Doo movie's extended fan-edit first and only if you love it return for this second movie.
Final warning:
If you didn't enjoy the original Monster's Unleashed movie then this isn't going to change that, there simply wasn't enough deleted scenes...
It's a shame really.
