Possessor is a modern masterpiece but can be confusing in its forms of release. This version is essentially a 'kitchen sink' approach, which will be my new go to version. However the film itself is not for everybody. In my opinion, the r rated cut has some vital bits from the unrated version missing and the unrated version can at times, be unnecessarily extreme. I would love to see a balanced cut using this as it's base. But that would be down to personal preference.
The quality of this release deserves the 10s across the boards as the work put in is flawless. Especially impressive is the integration of the r rated footage which needed to be colour corrected to match.
The file is rather large at 40gb but worth the download to preserve the exceptional fidelity and amazing soundtrack.
