The 2008 Hulk reboot improved on the 2003 film in several areas. The origin story hewed closer to the comic book original, and Banner closer to Bixby's TV interpretation we all could emote to.

Now Tomahawk has improved on the 2008 film. The added scenes and reworked opening allow helpful character development and make us more invested in the characters. This is absolutely the go-to version!

Visual editing is flawless. Audio has one recurring flaw: dialog is overpowered in places (in the forum Tomahawk explains this is baked into the original). Narrative editing is impeccable.
This edit is only SD, but the quality is good enough to not detract on a big screen.

One minor narrative change could be to use The Consultant as post-credit clip. That would make explicit that Shield is watching Banner, which gives a nice continuity into the Avengers movie.

The Incredible Hulk has long been the ugly step-child of the MCU. The triumvirate of the MCU is Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor. Each of these will have three solo movies in the can before even a glimmer of a second Hulk film is realized.

Part of the reason is that TIH was designed to "fix" some of the aspects of Ang Lee's earlier Hulk film -- and in that regard much of the cerebral and character building aspects of the Banner character were chopped out, leaving behind a film with lots of HULK SMASH but not so much story.

Tomahawk does an amazing job fixing this in his EE. Working off the Norton script structure, he recasts the film as perhaps Leterrier and Norton originally envisioned it, and the result is nothing short of miraculous. Tomahawk's version is now my go-to version for watching this film. I have the theatrical release, but it stays forever on my shelf. Tomahawk's edit adds back the depth of character that is required for a Hulk film -- without which, you're just left with a giant green rage-monster, which honestly gets boring quick. You need the character and backstory to make the Hulk compelling.

Editing-wise, the video editing is flawless. However, on the audio side the music is sometimes too loud, obscuring dialog. The edit is only available in SD, which honestly looks just fine on my 55" Samsung, but an HD version would be nice.

If you're a Hulk fan, or an MCU fan, get this now. This is the Hulk film to watch.

This was excellent. I wish I would have downloaded on a dual layer for quality purposes, but the cut was tremendous. This is the movie that we should have seen in theatres. Well done Tomahawk!!

While I've watched many a Fan Edit, this is the first one I've watched that has prompted me to and leave a review.

I am a huge fan of the Marvel franchise, and yet for some reason the Hulk movies have always been lacking in my opinion. While the action sequences have always been fun and entertaining, I've never really connected with the characters.

This Film however not only captures my attention, but demands it.

Through the addition of the deleted scenes, the characters now have a real story, and their development and depth now remind me why I love this franchise. In this cut, I feel genuine sympathy, understanding and a real attachment to Banner. The additional character development does not take away from the movies action sequences in the slightest, and if anything enhances them, and you now are truly invested in the films protagonist's, and when they are in peril, you really care about the outcome.

In addition to the story now being fleshed out and far more interesting, the deleted scenes are weaved into the movie seamlessly, and the average viewer wouldn't notice where the theatrical edition finishes and the deleted scenes began. Tomahawk has even gone to the trouble of adding musical score over these scenes, making the overall watching experience one to remember.

This edition of the Incredible Hulk really is the "Ultimate" edition. In fact, I couldn't even imagine not watching this edition when I next re-watch the entire Marvel story.

Disclaimer: It's been a while since I've seen the original, so the movie may be better or worse than what memory serves but it definitely feels like this edit is an improvement over the original.

I thoroughly enjoyed this edit, the added scenes helped with character moments which is what I always felt was missing from the film and I also feel the way the flashbacks were used was brilliant.

Only problem I had with the edit was at times the music was a little loud but that didn't hinder my enjoyment of the edit too much.

Note: An HD release would be appreciated.
