As a huge fan of the first Highlander movie I thoroughly enjoyed this tighter, more intense retelling of the story.

When the movie first released the story of McLeod winning the prize was essential to it's success, but with the Highlander franchise having grown to what it became this fanedit serves as an epic origin story that ends with a sense of great anticipation.

The original movie should have opened as this edit does (great stuff!), and removing the cringe sex scene helped maintain the dynamic flow immensely.
