Falcon and the Winter Soldier: The Spence Edit, The

As my first entry into the world of Fan Edit's, I wasn't disappointed. Although I haven't watched this series since it aired, I think this version will be my go-to return viewing. My only nitpick, I wish Bucky's psychiatrist had more screen time with her other scenes, I enjoyed her. Also, did Zemo escape the prison that quickly in the original, I really can't remember?
Other than those little things it was very enjoyable!

I loved the edit - it gracefully streamlines the plot and trim away many unnecessary bits. This edit really shows how bloated the limited series was. I don't miss any of the omitted scenes, as they seemingly are indeed not integral to the plot.
However, I believe there is some room for improvement. I wrote my suggestions: in detail in the forum, but here are my cliff notes:
(1) The beginning of the movie can be reordered to better serve the narrative.
(2) John Walker should be completely cut from the final fight, as he contributes nothing to it.
(3) The ending is a bit lackluster.
(4) I noticed a few minor technical issues in the edit.

All in all, this edit is really well made and I recommend it.

I was a little skeptical of how good this edit would be. And hearing that the airplane scene was cut and so much more content was cut, I was worried I wouldn't enjoy this at all. However, I am glad I was wrong. This was really good and makes me wish it was released as an actual movie rather than a series. I think this edit proves that The Falcon And The Winter Soldier would be great as an MCU film. I highly recommend giving this a watch.

This is really, really good. At first I thought I would miss the excellent airplane hijack scene that was cut from this edit. But after watching the movie, I realised it added nothing for the actual plot and it had to be removed to get the runtime down to a manageable time.
This is now a Marvel movie. Its what should have been released in the cinema - maybe Marvel should do just that with this release. Lets be honest, they would make 50+ million by doing so, and all the work has already been done by Spence!

This is THE definitive way to watch The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. It's often said some of these Marvel Disney+ shows should be a long movie instead, and Spence shows it absolutely works. I'm a huge fan of Captain America as a character and I did really enjoy the show, but there were a few times where scenes dragged on or focused on uninteresting characters; this edit removes the worst of the show and keeps the absolute best. This was a joy to watch, would 100% recommend.
