Review Detail

I've revisited Escape From LA a few times and bounced off it every time, despite my fondness for John Carpenter and Kurt Russell's particular blend of movie magic. I'm happy to say that this edit managed to finally make the film work for me. The film still doesn't hold together as well as Escape From New York, obviously, but the score and edits have gone a long way towards making the film feel more like its predecessor. My congradulations to Dawnrazor for finally sticking the landing on one of the few Carpenter films that I've never really been able to enjoy. Well done!
