Probably as good as this movie can be. Really well edited. Ebumms creatively structures scenes not to just excise unfunny bits but also to enhance what is there. The example shown on his youtube channel, of the visit to Pee Stain's house, is a great example of the magic in this. I don't think I laughed once at that scene originally and this edit makes the whole thing enjoyable and hilarious by just making you forget that any of that brake-screechingly unfunny stuff was ever there.

I think this elevates the movie to a decent blockbuster comedy with a much better laugh to watch ratio than the original. It still is wildly less creative than the original. The tech convention is just a boring location and Harry and Lloyd never really have to do too much. Rob Riggle's death involves no chaotic bits of causation like the hot sauce and pills scene in the original. He just gets hit by a train.

Rob Riggle being a twin is absolutely wasted. Why does he reveal himself to be a twin immediately? Mistaken identity is ripe for comedy and could have been built into a crazy hay-wire finale instead of a dull shot-reverse shot stand-off that fizzles out with spoken exposition.

It all just feels very low stakes (production design-wise) despite having quite a larger budget than the original, even after adjusting for inflation. Maybe some money fleecing like the more obvious "Jack and Jill"?

Anyway, that's enough about the stuff that can't be changed.

This edit definitely makes it a watchable comedy, though, and that's no small feat. I can see me re-watching this and I had no desire of revisting the original cut. File looked great, nice encode. I saw the most recent revision, released this year of 2018. Great job!

When I saw Dumb and Dumber To in the theater I laughed quite a bit. There were a lot of good laughs in the movie. The problem was there were also a lot of really bad jokes as well. And the scene with the old woman in the home just doesn't belong in Dumb and Dumber, whether you find it funny or gross or whatever. The first thing I said to my friend when the movie ended was, "someone could probably edit this into a great movie". Well that is what this edit is. There is only one maybe awkwardly quick cut that is noticeable (barely though, maybe I only noticed because I know it is there) but it was the best that could be done I think. And skipping that scene was a good choice in my opinion. There were some things I would have left in and even a few things left in I would have taken out but I'll worry about that when I make my own edit. This is the movie that should have been released in theaters and it would have performed much better if it had. If you are a huge fan of the original Dumb and Dumber this is the worthy sequel to it in my opinion. It's not as good of a movie but it's a good time. Worthy to be on the shelf next to the original. (Or in a folder on your computer). I like it. I like it a lot.

This edit definitely succeeds in its goals. The edits felt flawless and the two character are redeemed.

I was avoiding this film but felt I would give it shot with the fixes and quite a few jokes work now. Overall the movie still has a lot of flat jokes and characters built into the script (special forces guy?), but that can't be fixed. But a few flat parts is a massive improvement over cringe worthy jokes that make you want to turn it off; and now the two main characters return as the highlight of the movie.

This edit was very fun, I found myself laughing throughout something that didn't happen with the untouched theatrical release. The editing was seemless! I was unable to detect any obvious cuts in the audio or video. While I may be in the minority of actually enjoying to unedited version of the movie I do feel that this edit is a much better film. Well done ebumms. I am looking forward to enjoying more of your work.

For a compact 2GB 720p mp4, the image quality is damn good.

Visual Editing: 10
The best part. The visual editing isn't just well executed, it actually creates new jokes by cutting from one setup line, to a new punchline. It also cuts out lots of crass humour just leaving the goofy good-natured gold.

Audio Editing: 10
Not an audio edit out of place.

Narrative: 9
The well scripted plot really shines with the 21 minutes of clutter cleared away.

Enjoyment: 9
I think I actually enjoyed this more than the 1st D&D movie, never mind the original cut of the sequel. I'll be watching this fanedit again in the future, that's for sure. An impressive first edit, thanks ebumms.
