BRILLIANT!!! This had me from the get-go as I love Lalo Schifrin and have made lots of little shorts myself using his music, great to see the inclusion of the Kelly heroes tank music that is great for tension I remember watching Inglourious Basterds and was ecstatic QT had included it in there. Editing was top notch I was anticipating the peaks in the chosen tracks and wondering how you would use them and all the editing choices were fabulous. If there was one thing I would have done differently it would have been to include the really wild movement at the end of Scorpio's theme from Dirty Harry at the climax of the short but this was really well done. It would have been a perfect 10 for me if not for the pixelation on the video which really doesn't bother me at all tbh when the edit is this good. This editor is definitely a kindred spirit!!

Catchy Jazz-heavy soundtrack really helps the pacing. I like the noir style
flashback/forward from the planning phase to the heist in action. There's some
noticeable compression artifacts throughout. Banding effects, mostly. Maybe that's
an issue with the source copy that the black and white brought attention to? Or maybe
something went wrong in conversion, compression, or rendering phases. It isn't the
worst, I can still see what's happening with a reasonably high amount of detail. But
it is distracting. I do like the story told here. Stripping away the rest of the
film, leaving just enough context to follow along... it's dizzying, separating the
genuine police from the imposters. A very scary, very real concept.

I absolutely loved everything about this edit except for the B&W treatment. The blacks were too black and there was a lot of pixelization. Other than that, incredible work.

The only bad thing to say about this edit is the encoding of the video that is quite pixelate at times (I had to re-encode te video that the editor sent me, to make the DVD, I must say. But it was pixelate already).
Everything else is very good work. Choice of the movie/story (The Town). The style. The editing. Everything.

Holy carp. This was perfect. Beautifully done black & white. Awesome music. Perfect editing. I would say I’m jealous that I didn’t make this, but the truth is I’m glad I never made this. Dom did it so much better.

This is the best of all the shorts in this project.
