I really enjoyed this edit. It reduces bloat, cheese, arbitrary changes to characters and canon, and flows well. Nice and fast. Quite a lot is cut but you won't miss it -- with one exception, to which I will return. Some excesses remain in the film e.g. Wolverine using his claws to turn his bike around, but I can't see how every bit of excessive stuff could have been cut. I am also not sure it must all be cut, anyway: we're talking about a character with essentially fantastic abilities, a metal skeleton based on an imaginary mineral etc., so the bar for realism is already pretty low.

There are a few bits where audio transitions are notable, but nothing serious.

The only real criticism I have is that too much of Kayla/ Silver Fox is cut. The story about the Trickster, the revelation about her sister, and her revenge on William Stryker at the end could have been kept while meeting the aims of the fan-edit and the absence does weaken her quite a lot as a character -- and in consequence, our understanding of the relationship with Logan.

But look, this is subjective, my preference , and should in no way discourage you from seeing this fan-edit.

Way better than the original.

This edit aims to remove a lot of the weak parts of X-Men Origins Wolverine to create a stronger film.

A/V: quality Decent A/V, looks like a DVD source but not bad.
A/V editing: Average editing. Noticed quite a few of the cuts, sudden changes in scenes or audio fading in and out too quickly.

Story: The narrative is clear and easy to follow. But the plot is still poor (this is not the fault of the editor). Most of the cuts made were to remove particularly weak points of the film, however I disagreed with removing Kayla/Silverfox's backstory as it made her character feel hollow and undeveloped. I did like the removal of Logan and Creed sharing a father, I felt that plot point was silly. I thought removing Silverfox's final act of revenge against Stryker was a mistake.

Unfortunately, this film is unsalvageable and does not work well as a feature length film, although havok's effort is certainly commendable.

A worthwhile attempt to wrest something of value from this ultimately pointless Wolverine prequel, but the editing is unfortunately still quite choppy, and the attempts to bring the already dubious continuity of the FoX-Men films closer to the comics fixes nothing and succeeds only in muddying the character connections present in the film. Deadpool and Sabretooth in particular are diminished even further in this edition. While some of the cheesiness is reduced, that was most of what I was able to enjoy about the original cut, so all that's left is the superhero equivalent of a Nickelback music video. Boring, leaden, and even Canada doesn't want to be associated with it.
