Captain America: The First Avenger - Star Spangled Edition

I remembered this film as one of the weakest links in the early days of the MCU, but this edit really enhances its good traits. The pacing is great, the narrative is engaging - a wonderful introduction to Captain America.
I really loved the additional scene with the Howling Commandos - it added character to this group, which I think was missing in the theatrical cut.
One point was deducted off of the Audio/Video quality because I noticed something weird about the audio - it was not balanced properly. Both on 2.1 speakers and on my earphones, dialogues were only coming from the right speaker, whereas ambient noises came from the left. Other reviewers did not mention anything about it, but I checked in two players and got the same result. Weird.

All in all - a highly recommended edit.

Out of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Cap has always been my favorite. I think he had the most developed character arc out of all of the characters, and it was really cool to go back to the beginning.

Technically, the edit is flawless in my opinion.
This is my new go-to version of the movie.

I didn't expect this extened edition to be so well made.
The transitions were so smooth that I wouldn't have noticed there are additional scenes if I didn't know this movie by heart.
The audio and video quality is absolutely stunning even on my 55" TV, with me sitting barely three metres away from the screen.
The audio of the new scenes is a little bit louder and clearer than the rest of the film but I only noticed this when I listened closely on my five speakers surround sound system.

Since there are only two more minutes of footage, this edit flows just as well as the original movie and there are no problems with the pacing.
It just feels like a slightly more rounded version of an already entertaining movie. Absolutely loved this and it will for sure be my new favorite version of this movie.

A really fun extended edition of an already strong film. The deleted scenes that are added back in are reintegrated very skillfully, with smooth editing. The pacing throughout this edit is wonderful. I enjoyed this a lot. Excellent work.
