Just watched this nice Extended Edition. Good work. Very good work. I knew the deleted szenes before but reintegrated in the movie it makes boogie nights even a fuller experience. And even if they are not in HD they are very well integreated so that they fit neat with the whole washed up 70's look. Thank you for this fantastic experience you gave me to watch boogie nights in this way.

Boogie Nights since it was released has always been a personal favorite of mine! So when I saw the deleted scenes from my purchased special edition , I determined "from my point of view" - having these scenes placed back in makes the movie more FUN ...if...you are a big fan! Yes, I know why PT Anderson cut them out, but if you loved the movie, saw those deleted scenes, and WANT them put back in to enjoy a longer movie - then you want this fan edit!!!

Sure, most of the additions are incidental material...but some folks like that. HOWEVER I must point out adding the sub plots with Dirk learning about the death of his younger competitor, helping Becky, and then experiencing the Car Crash - really make this complete for me!!! The other scene with the improv of the gang getting high, as shown from under the coffee table was hilarious! That is IMPROV and a welcome addition, too.

As for the fanedit technicals - I thought the edits were clean and produced with the best technology and skill possible! Please contact me if we can make arrangements for me to obtain a copy of your most superior quality version you have!

Thanks again -

Steve Miller

I’m not sure how the director could have left these deleted scenes behind. Neglify spreads apart the film and firmly inserts these segments to create a deeply satisfying edit. This version isn’t merely about length, with swollen storytelling spewing irrelevant junk at us—no, oh God, oh my God, no—the inserted scenes flesh out the characters as they probe and thrust their way toward their sad climaxes. Highly recommended—come check out this release. It’s an epic ride.

Enjoyjoy: 10 pelvic aerothrusts atop shag carpet.

For a movie that celebrates the excesses of the 70s adult film industry, an extended cut makes absolute sense, and it almost the essential way to experience Boogie Nights. I loved getting to watch this packed-to-the-gills version of a great hangout movie, put together seamlessly for maximum grooviness. My only quibble would be the Becky and Jerome sequence dragging on a bit too long -- it's a moment of actual tragic violence and drama in a movie whose moments of seriousness are otherwise entirely leavened by comedy or irony. A bit of trimming of that scene could leave the tone completely intact and get the viewer to the car crash a bit faster.

However, that's a very minor tonal nitpick that doesn't change the fact that this is the only version of Boogie Nights anybody needs going forward. A terrific job. Neglify, "you've got the touch."
