Brief Synopsis:
I have been working on a wild Stars Wars edit of Rogue One (2016). This is a Short for IFDb. It took a great deal of time to make even though it is 5 minutes long. I color graded. I added some softening and sharpening effects. I reframed some shots. Added heavy grain and subtle film damage effects. I wrote the script using official references from games and films.. I timed the music to the scene perfectly, I think.
Intention:
It is supposed to be a nihilistic, grim, tale of the Sith Code, which is the motto of the Sith in the Star Wars universe. It is explained thoroughly in the videogame Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (2003)

Additional Notes:
Start a cuppa joe, or grab a pint, or pack your favourite legal smoking tobacco, or do them all! Take a big gulp and a nice toke. Hold it in. And exhale.. put your headphones on, turn the volume up.. and now you're ready to watch. Click play :) and I hope you enjoy! For super high quality versions please Direct Message me.

Editing Details:
This is a 5 minute long short of Darth Vader's brutality in the Star Wars universe.
Cuts and Additions:
I cut everything but the final moments of Rouge One (2016)

I added dialogue/monologue of a narrator using ElevenLabs AI technology.

I added dialogue of Obi-Wan from Revenge of the Sith

I added on screen text to accommodate the spoken words of the narrator.

I added many layers of film damage and film burns, as well as heavy grain.

I color graded in Blender VSE and Adobe Premeire.

I applied a sharpening effect and a softness effect to the video to make it look even more damaged and old.

This was a very interesting 5 minute edit. First and foremost, I would recommend watching the downloadable version versus the YouTube variant. The quality is much clearer and more visually stunning. In order to fully enjoy this, one really needs to see this without YouTube's compression.

I do not believe I have ever seen a grindhouse style edit before, but this was a nice start. The choice in musical score fit in quite well with the dark and forboding tone the brief edit was meant to convey.

I liked the text quotes along with the narration provided. This edit really conveys the tragedy of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in a very brief clip along with the Sith Code. This is a nice and quick watch for Star Wars fans. As previous viewers mentioned, it is best to watch this twice or more to get the proper feel for this. The second time through you really get that nihilistic feeling.

I want to thank the editor for sharing this with me. I can recommend this for Star Wars fans who want an entertaining quick watch and do not mind the grindhouse effects. Job well done.

Wel, what an extraordinary idea and execution!

I was not sure what to expect nor how it would play for me....so much so I watched it a few times, and on each viewing I like it mor, and more.

Everything is top notch.

I would have moved the over the shoulder shot of Vader on the ramp watching the blockade runner fly off to BEFORE the long close up since the close up stright off the bat I found jarring. By moving that one shot (if if its split), gives the viewer the context that a new thread has not started (which is what my brain did). I shall be happy to revisit my narrative score should any tweaks be made.
HOWEVER, this is a very well executed, dark and brooding piece which is well worth anyones 5 mins. This is what fan editing is all about; pushing the boundaries and exepcations. That final quote puts the Jedi in the "fake news" camp"...truly disturbing, and a great touch!

Nicely done indeed.

EXCELLENT

This is not your typical Star Wars edit, so I recommend watching this at least twice. With that being said, I really enjoyed this edit. The grindhouse feel to this really adds something different and compliments the music choice nicely (which grew on me during my second watch). I really enjoyed how the edits aligned with the music and the payoff at the end is awesome. Something about seeing Darth Vader in slow motion with the music and grindhouse aesthetic really worked for me. The quote at the end was a really nice touch as well. I highly recommend this edit, especially as something different to the vast majority of Star Wars edits that have already been done. Thanks for sharing this!
