Review Detail

I very much enjoyed the Mangold Restoration. It was great to see a product so much closer to what the director originally intended, not to mention so much closer to what fans actually wanted to see. However, the limitations of the material available obviously restricted what the editors could achieve and so I was intrigued to see what improvements Wakeupkeo could create with their new, extended version of the edit. I'm pleased to say the finished product is a slight upgrade on the Mangold Restoration, primarily due to the clarity offered into Harada's motivations. Using the extended cut is also a smart move as it adds to the gritty, grounded feel. I could take or leave the yellow suit ending; I don't have strong feelings on that either way. However, all other changes are welcome and enhance the viewing experience. The quality of the editing, particularly the audio, is of a high level. Definite thumbs up!
