Brief Synopsis:
This is a sequel to "The Last Wish" edit. It continues the story of Geralt of Rivia, omitting big part of plotlines that were not based on the books. Unlike "The Last Wish" edit, there was no way to base this edit only on book material because more than half of the second book, "Sword of Destiny" was omitted in the show. For that reason, this edit uses some of the non-book material to complete the story and presents it in chronological order.
Intention:
To see how the series would work, presented in more traditional way (without multiple timelines) and with less amount of unnecessary filler created by the writers which wasn't based on the books.

Editing Details:
- Edit opens with Geralt & Yen plotline from episode 6 with a few little cuts
- then material from episode 1 and 7 is combined to present the story of Ciri and the fall of Cintra in chronological order
- Ciri on the run plotline is significanlty shortened. The character Dara does not appear.
- The final part of the edit is episode 8 with some omissions
- additional mages are introduced during their meeting scene
- Tissaia's and Fringilla's roles in the battle are reduced as they have no backstory here
- "Who is Yennefer?" line at the end is cut.
- Re-scored audio tracks in english and polish were created with music from Witcher games soundtracks and polish "Hexer" TV show music by Grzegorz Ciechowski, but for all those who enjoyed Sonya Belousova and Giona Ostinelli's work, there's original audio track too.
- New title card added

Will review this based on enjoying this cut from bringing the content available into a Witcher movie as that is what Gieferg was aiming for.
All is well put together from using right scenes available and music score to underline the movie. The movie keeps getting better as you move along. Not sure if that is because of the cuts or the story line with scenes available. Really enjoyed this and the next cut he did.
Really wrapped the story into a nicer flow and to the point story of the Witcher that the seasons seem to have a hard time with. Can say same of previous cut.
If you new to Witcher or not seen seasons, these cuts done by Gieferg is highly recommended. If seen seasons before best way to review and enjoy the Witcher again. Thank you Gieferg.

Pleasantly surprised by Gieferg's brainchild here!! As per my review for 'The Last Wish' Im going to say this may benefit from some atmospheric sound effects to compliment the additons of original Witcher musical musings, and some interlude screens fluffing out the narrative inevitably suffering from the heavy cutting.
I almost want to say this turns out like an open-ended dramatization of The Witcher 3 intro. Certainly this is true for parts of this movie. It is in fact though, quite a coherent playing out of events along the lines of the books (one trusts) tieing in with 'The Last Wish' really, really well. Its somewhat like one of those barely cobbled together fan-made (fittingly) productions that are more cosplay than proper film, only with full length.
In these fan-edits Gieferg does justice to the actors, and the production teams, and (lets say) reverently sets aside the mistellings of the Netflix saboteurs, in favour of a true Witcherish thread. Actually (spoiler alert) there is no Kaer Morhen, or any of that ruined, embellished stuff in this movie at all. 'Sword of Destiny' is the proper title indeed!!
