Review Detail

I enjoyed the original version of Up in the Air, but this extended cut is a huge improvement over the original. Our perception of the main character is greatly expanded because of the addition of two scenes in particular: 1) the scene of him explaining to Alex why he likes to travel so much and 2) the montage of him in Omaha trying to live a normal life. It fleshes out his character arc and makes what happens near the end that much sadder. It reframes most of the film and makes it a lot more compelling to ponder.

Suffice to say, this will be the version I watch from now on. Great work all around!
