Star Wars: The Coaxium Heist

The tagline says it all. Do I recommend this? Heck yes. Buy the film and request this edit. I can't imagine anyone being dissatisfied.

I bought the film purely to legally watch this edit, about which I was intrigued. This viewing was my first experience with the film beyond hearsay and to sum up what I knew, the film was dark (like hard-to-see dark), fan-servicey, and sequel-bating. But I'd also heard it was a lot of fun, in spite of itself.

All I know is, I had a blast and didn't notice any of those criticisms. Within 15 minutes, I was swept up and thoroughly enjoying the ride. There was maybe one or two parts that seemed a little off visually, but having not seen the original film, it could be something endemic to the original. My wife watched it with me and she thought it was great, too. This feels like street-level Star Wars.

This is terrifically entertaining! I actually like the original but this has surpassed it for me. The addition of the opening crawl and screen wipe transitions really give it a true Star Wars feel. Audio and colour correction is perfectly done. I thought the Star Destroyers in one of the space establishing shots looked a little cartoony but that is the only criticism I can think of for the technical editing.

Loved that Han no longer needs to have an origin story for his surname. I was sad to see the shower scene go but I understand how the scene transition would not work with it.

I watched this a while back and again last night, and I have to say, AWESOME work.

I never disliked SOLO but now, I really really like it. This now feel like Star Wars, the changes are well judged and well executed. The technical aspects can't be bettered and the flow now just works so well. The removals are spot on and frankly, I missed nothing. The coverat has been printed, the disc too, and this now sits on the shelf IN FRONT of SOLO (double layer shelving) since this is my GO TO version.

Oh.My.God.

This was amazing. Honestly I only "liked" Solo. Somehow, some way, you've managed to make me love it. I felt like a kid again. This was the first fan edit I watched, and honestly I don't know if this can be topped. Hell, I don't know if this can be topped by watching a "real" and authentic film in a cinema.

As someone who loves the original, this edit couldn't be better.
