Review Detail

A huge improvement over what was obviously originally a shorter script padded out to fill 6 episodes. While much of the removed filler seemed like obvious and easy cuts to make, there are many other instances where Spence cleverly trimmed and rearranged some scenes to really tighten up the pacing and remove unimportant/redundant scenes. This also has the effect of focusing the story more on Obi-Wan and his conflict with Vader. There are still some unavoidable issues with poorly shot action scenes, but not much the editor could do, and much less noticeable here. And as others have pointed out, it does feel a bit long, mainly due to Leia being kidnapped a second time but I don't think there's much more the editor could do to improve that. For a TV-to-film edit of the series, this is likely the best out there!
