Changing the narrative through use of Japanese dubs and subtitles is a fantastic idea to approach fan-editing Star Wars. Something about the Japanese language and Star Wars feels quite authentic, and it allows much more flexibility to make narrative changes.
My only criticism is that you didn't go far enough. There is a real opportunity to make very bold changes to the overall story, after finishing, my mind was spinning with the potential of what this format of fan-editing can do.
I am no audio/visual expert, but from what I could tell, the edit was made pretty flawlessly from a technical aspect. I didn't notice any bad cuts or transitions, and all the music flowed well.
