Upon preparing for No Way Home, I decided to give Masirimso's edit of Far From Home a shot, since I always remember not enjoying the original cut of this when it came out on theaters.
For transparency, I watched the version with the bus scene still included, just edited down to as bare bones and plot neccesary as possible, there is another version of the edit that removes it all together. The edit was done as best as one could, least to keep it in the plot with minimal time on the scene and keep it from being a snore fest.
Aside from it, the removal of the fling sub-plot, the reintegration of deleted scenes and removal of some scenes that amounted to not much this is the best way to go about seeing Far From Home
A fantastic edit which greatly improves a flawed film.
I was not a huge fan of the theatrical cut of Far From Home. The first hour was, in my opinion, too much of a high-school drama, focused on the uninteresting bits of school life. This edit fixes that very well, by trimming many of those superfluous bits. I also appreciated the new Spider-sense sound effect and the trimming of the Tingle.
The editing was technically perfect here - scenes were extended and integrated seamlessly and the trims (including the Edith drone strike scene) were perfect as well. However, I did not like the added flashbacks and wish they were removed.
I need to watch Bobson Dugnutt's Elemental Expansion Edition again to decided which one will be my new go-to edit, but either way - Masirimso17's edit is definitely highly recommended.
The edit was great for the most part. I watched the version with the bus scene removed, and I gotta say its a welcome change. I didn't like the bus scene very much when I saw it in the theater. I thought it went on too long and really wasn't necessary. The re-integration of the list deleted scene was pretty much flawless and I felt it probably should have been in the original cut. The more minor edits were also nice and I am grateful for the removal of the sorta cringey flirting between Aunt May and Happy. The only thing in the edit I didn't care for much was the addition of the Tony Stark flashback. I didn't think it was edited in seamlessly enough.
Do you recommend this edit?

Thanks for the kind words! I’m curious, what about the flashback felt jarring? I feel it works well but I’m interested in your thoughts.
