Every 5 years or so I go on a Western binge. Leone is always a highlight. I've had a couple of old Leonenut fanedits on an external drive for years, which I'll review in time --but this is my first time seeing this. This was released nearly 17 years ago, and fanediting has come a long way; but the Leonenut lives up to his name. Leone was a master of stillness and tension. This cut gives you more.

The tint of the Italian film is so yellow it's almost distracting, but it doesn't detract from the enjoyment. There are a few audio issues like the english track being out of sync (I found a -50ms adjustment in VLC fixed it) and some synchronicity issues with the harmonica when cutting between the international and italian cuts. If you've seen this before and want a more fleshed out version, I recommend it - but not for a first-time viewing. I'd love to see a redux of this with color and sound correction. Leonenut hasn't posted in years, but I'll keep the torch burning.
