Brief Synopsis:
This edit of Scarface is more of an action movie type film differing from the originally film majorly. In this edit i also remove one of the main characters in this film which is Elvira played by Michelle Pfeiffer
Intention:
I always felt this film was majorly dragged on and I felt it was way too long for what it actually was.

This edit is majorly inspired by Maniac's edit of scarface called "The World Is Yours"

Going into this edit I wanted to try and make it way more action pact with faster pacing, to do this I had to try and remove some characters. This was quite hard to do as Elvira is one of the most important characters in the film, to keep her out of everything scene I had to cut scenes out and use the cropping to keep her out of shot.
Cuts and Additions:
Every single second of this fanedit is edited so it would be near enough impossible to name every cut.
The main important ones though are..
- Recreated a new opening
- Trimmed the chainsaw shootout
- Trimmed Tony meeting Frank
- Removed Elvira and Tony dancing in the club
- Removed Tony seeing Elvira at the club.
- Trimmed Tony's conversation about Elvira
- Removed Tony's "Say Goodnight to the bad guy" speech.
- Trimmed The ending shootout.

This was a really unique and fun way to watch Scarface! Cutting the movie down by 77 mins was just about the perfect length for a fun popcorn flick. It loses a bit of its *gangster epic" feeling because it feels like it moves really quickly, from fresh off the boat to his own mansion in less than an hour.
I think I would like to see this edit from the perspective of ONLY removing Elvira and not trimming other scenes for length, restore some of the smaller cuts here and there, some of the removed dialogue.
Overall though this was a really cool way to watch a guilty pleasure in less than an hour and a half, and I really enjoyed it!

This is absolutely THE perfect cut of Scarface. I always felt Scarface was overrated, but had good moments. This edit aggressively condenses the film to its most entertaining and relevant parts. The cuts are largely unfelt. Well done IOR.

I watched SonOfSinbad's fan edit and I gotta say I was INSANELY impressed. I love Scarface and thought he might have cut way too much out. I mean it's an epic but this was a super short fan edit. But somehow I really enjoyed it and didn't feel like a ton was missing! Like, sure, there were some fav scenes gone but I didn't miss Elvira AT ALL. Michelle Pfeiffer is great but her character just didn't give a shit about anything. Great work with that. I'll still keep the original version as my go to for a longer movie night, but this is definitely fun to watch the movie in a much shorter burst. Thanks so much!
