The Living Daylights is my second favorite Bond movie of all time. For Dalton's first movie, they knocked it out of the park with this one. The score is, in my opinion, John Barry's best, and the more serious tone shift clicked so well with me the first time I watched it. However, that's not to say there weren't issues I had with it. In particular, the humor. It stands out more in this than the Roger Moore era, and it simply does not work here. However, thanks to Problem Eliminator, he turned this movie from good to fantastic. The only moments that took me out of the film briefly were the removal of the Leiter scenes. That's not to say I wish they were kept in, I'm glad they were cut, but it was a little jarring. The most jarring one being Bond and Kara driving to Karachi and then it suddenly cutting to Bond in Tangier sneaking through Whittaker's place. Other than that, the edit was marvelous. I highly recommend anyone to check this out!
