Brief Synopsis:
I absolutely adore Leslie Nielsen. I love the Naked Gun and Police Squad, although I feel the latter hasn't aged all that gracefully. The good parts are terrific, but jokes are re-used in each episode up to the point where you are annoyed and it feels lazy. So I aimed to fix that and effectively make a fourth Naked Gun movie instead.
Intention:
I made this edit out of my love for Leslie Nielsen, and to accomplish three things:
- Editing a comedy
- Making a TV-to-Movie edit
- Editing a comedy
- Making a TV-to-Movie edit
Special Thanks:
ArtisDead for making an excellent poster. You have truly outdone yourself. This is the new bar you've set for yourself.
Phase3 and WilliamRedRobin for test viewing this and giving some great feedback.

Changelist:
- The movie starts and ends with the final episode
- Inserted a visual gag when the poisoned victim is hallucinating based on feedback by the wonderful @Phase3
- Title credits changed to include the new title
- I took every episode and tried to make a coherent narrative as possible while having these casefiles happen semi-simultaniously.
- Removed episode 2 entirely for not being funny
- Remove all the cold opens, except for the last episode. We now find out about them as the main characters find out about them
- Remove every scene with the shoeshine boy that happens in each episode, as they are pacing killers.
- Remove every joke that's repeated too much, every joke is only done once, unless they cannot be cut
- Remove jokes that have been done in the movies, as this intended to be prequel to the Naked Gun trilogy
- Added one narration joke based on feedback by the great and magnificent WilliamRedRobin
- Inserted one little editor's joke for out fellow editors

Perfect scores? Absolutely! I would score it higher if I could. I laughed myself silly three nights in a row watching this and once when watching an early workprint. Everyone who watched this edit with me when I got home laughed so hard they cried. It's a perfect addition to the Naked Gun films. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up! Now...to watch it again because I just need more laughs on my life. Thank you, my friend. A boatload of bananas are on the way!

Franklin "Frank" Drebin, the fictional quirky cop from the Police Squad! television series and The Naked Gun movies played by Leslie Nielsen is a true classic creration...up there with Peter Seller's Cluseau....and what a hoot it is to have a fourth movie to enjoy the hellzapoppin antics.
The technicals are all good, and sure, the narrative is a smorgasbord, but that just adds to the intended mayhem...which you just have to sink yourself into and move allong with the river of jokes, puns, visual gags and so much more...
No nitpiks from moi...just shear unadulterated craziness all round...
We need to laugh more, and I prescribe this required medication to be taken thrice daily before meals (to prevent projectile ejection of food)...
SUPER!

This is like an early Christmas present - a fourth Naked Gun movie! As some of the other reviewers have pointed out the plot does jump around a bit given the nature of the base material but the jokes and one liners are brilliant and this edit does a great job in keeping the plot moving along whilst providing lots of laughs.

'We're sorry to bother you at such a time like this, Mrs. Twice. We would have come earlier, but your husband wasn't dead then'.
Police Squad was always a criminally (no pun intended) underrated series and to this very day, probably still is the case. I've always loved the Naked films and Airplane! and one can never get enough Leslie Nielsen. So when DonkeyKonga announced his 'Laugh and Let Die' project, I was absolutely excited! While the narrative is somewhat disjointed and convoluted, I think that's exactly what works about it. So much of the Naked Gun and Airplane's humour derives from a nonsensical and non-sequitur nature that this new edit acceptably fits into that category.
I think if you accept that, you'll have an absolute blast. Besides, I don't watch Leslie Nielsen comedies for the plot. I watch these films because I want to laugh my arse off. Laugh and Let Die successfully achieves that! While preserving the best humour of the show, DonkeyKonga has also found a way to inject a new visual gag into the edit as well. Very funny too! I think it's clever acknowledging the fact that the credits appear way past the beginning and the whole presentation feels like a gag itself.
Although, we never got a fourth Naked Gun film. I'm happy to say that DonkeyKonga has created something that fits nicely alongside the other films in the series. You won't be disappointed.
I highly recommend this edit!
Take a bow, DonkeyKonga.

A fun edit! A great idea to convert Police Squad! into a fourth Naked Gun, and having the episodes of the show be presented as a series of semi-concurrent cases Drebin is investigating is brilliant. Well done! I'd love if the plotlines fit together more smoothly, but there's only so much that can be done considering the source material. Lots of really funny moments (the gag with the extra title credits had me roaring) make this well worth a watch. Definitely recommended!
