As a player of the video game and I finished it 9 times. I know the original story in detail.
I think dividing the story into 3 parts is a success. This gives adequate rest to the viewer. But I feel that there are some parts that are left over, like the leader of Kansas City, her personal story completely invented for the series, it does not contribute to the original.
The infected's kiss to Tess... I'm sorry, but I can't handle it. totally unnecessary.
I also don't see arrangements to avoid the bloopers where the production workers are seen on the snowy bridge before reaching Jackson, or the coordinator's fingers that appear in Shimmer's rack scene.
The chapter I liked the most is Letf behind. I do feel that it was fitting to include those alternative stories, like the chapter of Bill and Frank, Sam and Henry, and the protagonist Ellie and Riley. 10/10
