Making this chronological was such a great editing choice! It removed so much repetition and really kept the story moving and moving. Two and a half hours feels just right for this movie, 3 hours was way too long.
I noticed a strange backwards audio sound at 1:36:41, but outside of that the edit is flawless. I really enjoyed the title card as well, I knew right off the bat that you had put it in but it is so good that it may as well have been part of the original.
I really appreciated how much character development you left in, and how clear the character motivations were based on your scene selections. It never felt overt or shoehorned, and by the end I was stressed for Marguerite, much more so than the original because I felt her story so much more clearly.
This edit has easily replaced the original for me, excellent work!
