Review Detail

I had a blast with this edit, building up from half unsuitable score, to well rounded soundtrack that just fits well, as a whole... My kind of edit, for sure.
In almost all instances where editor replaced the ost, its balance relative to centre channel in surround mix was well thought through. This is something I often see editors struggle with, and I am also no stranger to such moments in my projects. futon88 does not seem to have this issue for the most part. Rare are the moments in this edit where the voices sounded like competing with the soundtrack, but then again, even the original mix in the source, was never perfect in this regard.
Now the removed cheese... I found myself missing those bits, to be honest, but that is only because I grew up watching this thing, so many times. 'That said, I completely see why they are removed, and cannot disagree with the choice of doing so... not for the reason of making the flick less cringey, doing that would not leave much to work with... more like just trying to make it work, a bit better, still within its own bizarre cool... Does that make sense? Nevermind, moving on....
I do recommend checking this one out, quite an effort. attention to details, and time was spent on producing it. Only when one starts tackling projects of this caliber, that becomes clear. Any issue, I as a viewer could have found, pales compared to it...
