Great choice on removing Irene and just leaving a small portion of the scenes with Benicio. It turns this into a different film, darker, heavier and even a bit bloodier. The main character is less complex but more focused, it becomes a distinct character from the original, more brutal and vindictive. Also, his goals and motivations are not clear, that works very well with his enigmatic persona.

This new perspective into the story and the main character turns this into an interesting fanedit, especially for the fans of the original.
