Charlie & The Chocolate Factory
This gets rid of the unnecessary and de-mystifying back story of Willy Wonka for a better paced watching experience.
When the new Charlie movie was released I was happy to hear that it stuck to the book more than the original. I love the original but was always a huge fan of Roald Dahl and his storytelling. When I first saw the new version I was pleased with the film except for the addition of a back story for Willie Wonka, in my opinion not only didn’t it add anything to the film, it took away the mystique of Wonka. So with that in mind I cut out all references to and flashback scenes of Willie’s childhood and relationship with his father. The end is not cut from shortly after they crash into the house, to the end scene of the house in the factory.
Removed all references and flashbacks to Willie Wonka and his father.
