I absolutely love "Batman: The Animated Series" and I rank "Mask of the Phantasm" as the second-best animated feature (behind only "Return of the Joker"). This was a simple fanedit, as it didn't require a complete overhaul of the film or a ton of micro-editing to remove single lines, but it was quite effective. I watched it over three nights to really give it the proper episodic feel the editor was going for. I had a blast watching it and loved how DigMod made it truly seem like a 3-part pilot episode of the show. The only niggle I have about it is that I think Dig should have kept each episode to 22 minutes. It would have been easy to trim episodes 2 & 3 down a bit to fit the runtime. Then it would have been even more glorious. Highly recommended for Batman fans.

This is such a great way to view this movie as a 3-part series. Thanks DigModiFicaTion.
I really enjoyed all the small details too, such as the disclaimer being placed on top of a BTAS scene and with correct font. The "previously on Batman" speech and synopsis before parts 2 & 3 was perfect. I also liked the 'fanedit by' credit.
All the audio/visual cuts look great to me and worked well. Delaying the Phantasms identity works well. As does the removal of the Joker & Phantasm walk-off at the end.
It's a good animated movie anyway and didn't need many changes, but those made by DigModiFicaTion make it even better.
Recommended.
Makes me want to go and watch my BTAS 1-3 DVDs - which are a great nostalgic moment given I watched them one episode a week on a Saturday morning as a kid in 93-95.

Delaying the Phantasm's identity reveal and changing the tone of the ending are definite improvements. I'm not sure about splitting it into episodes as I am used to watching it as a "movie", but the spots to start and end each episdode were chosen very well... not abrupt or jarring.

DigMod masterfully splits one of my favorite animated movies into three episodes of my favorite animated series. What's not to like?

The transition from part I to part II was done perfectly and seamlessly, and while the transition from part II to III was still great, it didn't work as well as the first one. It's still absolutely well done and wouldn't be noticeable if I didn't know mind you, it was just done less perfectly than the first one (due to the source material) so kudos for that!

It has been a couple of years since I watched my DVD however, so I couldn't even tell if anything was cut or trimmed, I just know that the pacing was impecable all throughout all three episodes in an incredibly cohesive and well told story. I did notice that the reveal of who the Phantasm is was kept from the audience until further into part III, which was appreciated.

Congratulations DigMod, I'll keep this with the rest of my DVD rips of The Animated Series, and it's definitely going be my new way of introducing people to this marvelous series. :D

An excellent movie-to-TV edit, and dare I say a narrative improvement to the movie: holding back the reveal of the Phantasm's identity till the third part and making the ending ambiguous and dark was genius.

The only nitpick that I had was that while the first episode stuck with the standard 22 minute BTAS format, the subsequent episodes were 24 minutes and 30 minutes respectively, which does hurt the illusion of this being a three-part episode rather than a movie (though I do understand why you chose endings to each "episode", the endings were perfect cliffhangers.)

Highly recommended for Batman fans and those nostalgic for classic 90's animation.
