I love Batman Forever edits that don't try to change the tone to make it "darker", but it seems almost all of them open with the Arkham Asylum-cut to-Wayne Enterprises/Edward Nigma intro, which I'm not a big fan of. I've always preferred the theatrical opening, as you get the opening credits with that awesome Elliott Goldenthal score to hype you up and then you see Batman suiting up to fight Two-Face, which is as effective as a hook now for me as an adult as it was as a kid back in the 90's. It also makes more sense to me narratively to focus on the immediate threat first (Two-Face) and THEN introduce the secondary threat (Nigma/Riddler). Also, including the original opening credit sequence, adding the alternate beginning which creates a break in the credits for several minutes, then resuming the opening credits the way they were in the theatrical is just plain clunky. (Sorry Bobson!)

Despite my gripe about the opening sequence, the rest of the film was a joy to watch. The added deleted scenes enriched the story, the light toning down of the Riddler and Two-Face was just right, and the upgraded picture quality of the theatrical scenes (the quality of the added deleted scenes was understandably of lower quality) delivered a sharper and clearer viewing experience of my childhood favorite.

Another quality edit by Bobson Dugnutt. I definitely recommend it for those looking for the closest thing to the fabled Schumacher Cut.

All due respect to the Red Book editions but BF Virtual Workprint was the best version of the film and this new HD rebuild delivers an improved visual experience making this the definitive BF edit. This is essential for all Batman fans. I love it, thank you for making it, I can't recommend it enough.

After I finished watching this I flipped to the edit's Change Notes and was surprised to see so many! You kept all your edits seamless, and the many additions and few cuts were I think greatly to the film's benefit. I really liked the feel of the movie and the general tone that the Workprint narrative created. I actually had fun watching it, which was surprising because I remember being very unimpressed with this when I was younger. Either I'm getting old or the edit is just that good!

Great work updating this classic edit to HD!

So i love the Red Book edit and wanted to try an edit of the film that doesn't try to veer to far from what the theatricals tone and look are. I enjoy this very much and obviously the deleted opening and ending plus the "red book' scene really should have stayed in the theatrical. Also loved the choice to switch the Wayne meeting Nygma scene to directly after the opening credits. The only complaint i can really state are the edit trims the "ill get drive thru"/"holy rusty metal, Batman!" lines but leaves way to much of Carrey's over-the-top shouting and one-liners. I would have liked to have scene some of his wackier moments toned way down. I would def recommend this one to fans looking for something in-between the theatrical and the radically altered Red Book cut!
