Aliens: No Hope Edition

Game over, man! Game over!

My first review of an Aliens fan edit. So is Aliens: No Hope Edition fan edit any good? I may be synthetic, but I'm not stupid... my answer is yes.

Taking out the spoiler of the colony subplot to preserve the mystery and suspense about what actually happened to the colonists was a very simple and effective idea.

The fan edit has limited changes and the best parts of the director's cut have been kept. It was not an easy task to attack a classic like this and I am grateful Bobson did not go Berserker on this :)

The picture and sound quality are perfect. The movie pacing is well kept and I did not notice and hasty cuts.

awesome edit, i have been watching all the aliens movies, and this one is a really enjoyable film to watch. Like always you have done an incredible job. Keep up the good work.

I Always felt the director's cut of Aliens was the more definitive version, as it fleshed out many of the already great elements. But, there was sort of a spoiler due to the addition of some scenes in the colony that kinda deflates the directors cut, even if you know what was coming.
Not a huge drawback, but still a drawback.
However, Bobson's fanedit removes those spoiler scenes, making Aliens truly something we experience with Ripley as it happens.
Good job Bobson! Recommend this to everyone, first-time viewers and rewatchers alike. It is the definitive version of Aliens that should have been there in theatres back in 1986.

Definitely my go-to version of this film (a masterpiece of thrilling action, engaging sci-fi, and tense horror) from now on. A beautifully edited halfway point between the theatrical cut and James Cameron's extended director's cut. Fantastic work through and through.
