Watched the full 154mins version and it really doesn't seem that long, the time flies by which means it must have been a good watch. I love the new selection sequence at the beginning along with establishing shots of the Leonov around Jupiter. Wraith has done a fantastic job editing this and the quality is outstanding in both audio and visual which is 1080p. Nice after credit commercial. I still can't feel sorry for the crew though, their decisions are stupid. They go onto a strange planet without even using environmental suits which could protect the planets wild life from human viruses as well as them from the environment and poke their noses in everything they can find without thinking, would you really go near a strange egg thing that just opened, or smell/taste the fauna? Quarantine procedures seem to be non existent, not even any airlocks or decontamination equipment on the lander. Daniels seems more aware in this but she still misses the David/Walter switch until it's too late. Love how David keeps Wayland in the loop. This explains a lot about their knowledge of the organism. Overall it's a great watch and far better than the original, but is it still just polishing a t**d? I encourage everyone to watch this and decide for yourself.

Amazing cut. Video and sound quality are fantastic, and the opening credits look very good. Few years ago, when I was the deleted scenes from the movie, thought they should be in the movie because are great scenes. Well, here you have them. Just perfect.

Wraith has done incredible work here, bringing a balance that the original version lacked.
I watched my Blu-ray of this a few day ago, just to reacquaint myself with the original.
And today, saw this brilliant edit. I felt so much more empathy for the crew. And, to have Franco's
contribution's added properly, you engage more emotionally with Daniels. Her grief is easier to relate to,
Why on earth Ridley Scott chose to axe these scenes is beyond me. Maybe he get's so close to his movie's,
that he's too close to see the bigger picture. Thank you Wraith, you restored the balance, and the heart and
soul back into this great movie. And kudos to that coda, excellent touch. 10/10 in every possible regard.
Highly recommended.

Wow man, I really appreciate what Wraith has done here. The transmission at the end with David's research, the fear test in the opening, the flaskbacks with James Franco, and the extra conversations and bondings between characters. It definitely made the first act of the film waaaay longer than the second and third, but I didnt mind the change in pacing one fuckin bit. It only made the following conflict that much more engaging and fleshed out. Very very well done. This turned my (controversially) favorite alien movie into one of my favorite movies, period! I loved it when I saw it, but was so disappointed by the pacing and lack of true character/world building. It had so much potential, and Wraith brought that out tenfold. 10/10.

PRO-TIP:
Watch the credits to the end.
Also watch the 2hr38min version.

Excellent, excellent, excellent FanEdit. These extended version in general, but this extension specifically, utterly change the entire enjoyment of the movie.

*SPOILER* the added advert for the new Walter past the end credits was a great surprise - in addition it was interesting the "white goo" used to give a mechanical object "life" while the premordial black goo extinguishes biological life ... interesting dichotomy and lead in to so many more themes in the future.

I thouroughly enjoyed this extended version -- kudos to Wraith and please keep your talent alive to bring us what should be correct versions of movies!!
