My personal favourite of the "Craven Trilogy" (I/III/VII) and Ray Danger has managed to push it even further in my regard. Nothing huge but the experience is palpably more enjoyable now, with the cheese factor lowered to allow more of the great ensemble case to shine through and the dread caused by Freddy's attacks to feel even more pointed and menacing. Tasteful editing choices throughout. I can't recall if I found Nancy and her supervisor's relationship as abrupt and disjointed on my last watch through of the original version, but I'm going to put that on Craven and co. rather than this editor as I don't see anything regarding them specifically in their change notes).

Definitely a shelf-replacer for me; looking forward to many more Octobers of watching this version of Dream Warriors, the first and maybe only movie whose *poster* that gave me nightmares as a kid.
