Nasty, grainy, repellant slice of grindhouse churl.
I generally enjoy Fulci, and this one was especially sour.
Tasty, if you like bitter.
SteFAN did juicy work here, and is to be applauded for resurrecting an obscuro flick.
I cannot tell how good or shoddy video editing was, since the image was not pristine to begin with.
Still, I never noticed any inappropriate cuts - like a modern effect.
Like Neglify, I never bought for a minute this was a lost 40s masterpiece.
C'mon, the two towers were clearly visible (opened in '73), clothing and hairstyles echoed that decade, and the radio music was funky blaxploitation.
That 40s aspect was a puzzler to me.
Otherwise, this was a dark thrill and worth seeking for those who miss Kojak era sleaze.
