This trilogy was one of my favorites growing up and is one of the reasons I have a deep appreciation for Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart. It’s been a few years since I’ve sat down and gone through the originals but I still memorize most of it.

If I had seen this edit when it first came out I would’ve been in awe. A three and a half hour X Men epic. Sure the actual video quality doesn’t hold up by today’s standards (I’d love a 1080p remake of this) but it’s still doable on any size TV. I think the most impressive thing to note are both transitions between films. I couldn’t even really notice when they occurred and I’ve watched this multiple times now. Well done Wraith!

Wow. I loved this!
Although I wish an HD version would be possible, this edit is fantastic. I normally don't want to spend too much time watching each individual movie of the original trilogy, and this is a perfect way to watch it from now on. I enjoy the focus on Logan and Jean, and the flawless transitions. I felt like I was not missing anything!

The rearranging of certain scenes and the deletion of others certainly benefited the development of the characters far better than the theoretical versions did and well Logan still gets a lot of the spotlight this edit manages to keep the other X Men relevant and give them enough screen time to show why they matter though Cyclops still gets the short end of the stick but that is the fault of the people behind the movies not the fault of Wraith, I was particularly happy to see the erasure of the love triangle aspect between Bobby, Kitty & Rogue as that subplot from Last Stand always annoyed me and made Bobby look like a cheater and made Rogue’s reasons for getting the cure questionable where as in this the bond they share with Bobby is more on the platonic side.

And of course Rogue choosing not to get the cure and find comfort in being herself was a plus and a great decision on Wraith’s part though I did find the shots of Logan speeding away well the camera panned to the sign of Xavier’s gifted school for youngsters and the shot of that tree outside the school to be a bit to repetitive though as to my favoured ending I preferred the second one as Charles surviving and Erik gaining back his powers built up to that moment in The Wolverine where Charles and Erik meet Logan at the airport quite nicely and potentially hypes audiences up for a potential Days Of Future Past fan edit where as the placement of the scenes in the first version of this fan edits ending confused me.

Though I recognise where there from and I do hope this Fanedit will be available in 1080 HD someday.

Let me start by just giving "Wow!". X-Men: Requiem stands to be one of the greatest all time fan edits. The original X-Men films have always stood out to me as the OG of supehero movies, so this was a no brainer of a watch. I have viewed Wrath's previously edit build years back and fell in love with it. Now, with an updated version the adrenaline doubled up. No wait...tripled. The amount of precise attention and detail given is explicity amazing.

My goal now is to re-watch X-Men (2000), X2: X-Men Unites(2003) and X-Men: The Last Stand (2006) to nitpick their flaws that Wraith has doubled down and fixed. If I ever want to watch the X-Men trilogy again (which i probably will) this edit is the way to go.

Now, I only have watched this in standard definition but that didn't stop me from having a good time. I am now anxiously awaiting the upcoming high definition version. Wraith is geniously and uniquely talented and should not go overlooked. I highly reccomend everyone to experience and bask over the glory.

Cheers Wraith to all you do and for whatever lies ahead. Congratulations!!!
