Wonder Woman: The Excellent Adventure Edit

I didn't like WW84 when I saw it, and watching it again with a critical eye before this edit, I liked it even less. The pacing is a mess, the tone bounces between overwrought and goofy, and just overall the movie is just a missed opportunity.

So I came into this edit expecting better, but not really hoping for anything great. And then the opening scene set to Material Girl started up, and I was hooked. Really, the whole movie benefits immensely from the more bombastic style each song presents.

The editing also in this movie is great. If I hadn't just watched the original I doubt I would have noticed any cuts, and even with my knowledge there were plenty of times that I couldn't even remember what went because of how seamlessly it worked. And between then cuts and the music, this movie actually gave me moments of emotions, and the final moment where Lord removes his wish actually gave me some goosebumps.

All in all, I think Wakeupkeo has delivered the best version of this movie that is possible. I can't wait to make my way through the rest of his DCEU edits.

I was surprised first at how much had been cut out, but also how much of it worked in favor of the edit. The new music is refreshing, as I found the film's score lacking. There were a few parts of the story I felt were hindered by the cutlist, such as Barbara's introduction, but these are all personal preferences, and don't take away from the technical aspects of this edit (which, as always, aren't noticeable at all). Overall, this is an objectively better film than the theatrical cut, and I highly recommend it.

Wow what can I say? As always I don't do the "techie" review I go for the entertainment element. Making bad movies less bad is the tag line. Wakeupkeo took on a big undertaking in this one. Let me say I have enjoyed all the other edits of his I have. But starting out with (for me) a terrible movie to try and help it be better? I will say this was tolerable for me. I am not bagging on anything that has to do with the editing. It's just a bad movie to begin with. I was waiting for Kristin wig to turn into the SNL character she does with the tiny hand. The soundtrack was/is great brings back loads of memories for me. This is the first of Keo's edits I didn't watch in one sitting. Maybe two or three. For me the best part of the movie is the Linda Carter reveal. BUT her face is digitally "fixed" (even at her age shes still hot) and her voice is messed with. Wish these studios would leave things alone. I think the reason I am not so thrilled with this is that I am biased towards the original released and how bad it is. But I will be awaiting whatever Keo's next edit is. On my popcorn scale I will give this a 2 out of 5. Again nothing against the edit but it's a crappy movie to start with. I applaud the effort and work

This is a really enjoyable edit, Wakeupkeo has made what really was a bad film (IMO) into a much more watchable one, edits were flawless and now rocking a great soundtrack, really adds to the enjoyment of the film.
I would highly recommend checking this out, this edit should have been the original theatrical release !

Great job on the edits. Made a ok-ish film with a lot of questionable scenes bearable to watch. The pacing was a lot better without losing
lot of the narrative and the music selection was great.

Don't have anything much to say. DC movies has always been below average even among the popcorn movie lineup (with exception of the first Wonder Woman and Jack Synder's Justice League). So, being able to come out at the end with an enjoyable experience is always welcome.

Would recommended this edit to anyone who want to watch it for the second time or even their first. Really helps not having to sit through few of the scenes and question the decision made by the filmmakers.
