Rarely have I been so disappointed with a movie as with "Wonder Woman '84', and I was hoping this fan-edit would eliminate as much as possible of the childish story. Regretfully that is simply not possible with the available material. There is however no question about it that this fan-edit is an improvement.

Shortening the movie (bye bye prologue) and adding '80's music are great ideas and executed almost flawlessly. However, popsongs with vocals are too distracting during action sequences in my opinion. Instrumental pop-songs would have been no problem, but with vocals it turns into some kind of videoclip. And if possible, I'd avoid fading out each song. If the song itself has a solid ending (no fade-out) than try to use it, and time the last beat with a cut. Or have the music dissolve into some kind of sound effect that goes with the scene.
Eliminating the strange scenes with Wonder Woman's returned love interest having a different face at first is also entirely justified. It's just that in this way, she accepts the impossible strangeness of his return too easily, like it's perfectly normal.

Yet all in all I enjoyed this fan-edit more than the original, and the inclusion of different music not only works invigorating, but is also an incredible technical achievement of the editor.

Dammmmmnnn! What a phenomenal recut. Just brilliant. I think the contrast of how bad it started, how much there was to work with, and how much it improved is the biggest jump my partner and I have seen so far compared to any other movie. Just so rewarding to watch, will be recommending it to my friends.

Favorite changes: I was literally squealing the whole movie about how great the 80s score sounded behind Steve. Loved the new closing scenes, loved cutting all of the island beginning. Loved how all the awkwardness of Barbara was blown away and the sexual/jealousy tension between her and WW really shined (something I literally didn't even realize was in the original). Couple things I think might have been made more confusing: how Steve had an apartment and why their plane was invisible. These are absolutely trivial relative to the original.

Overall the movie was a joy and I'm deeply grateful to the talent that went into creating it. This would be one of or the best movie in the DCU/MCU if it had been released like this.

I hadnt seen the original WW84 so after much debate, I decided to watch it first. What a sloppy mess.

Then I watched The Excellent Adventure Edit and wow! what a recovery. All the cringe, all the weird non-sensicle bits, all the face palms are gone. Whats left is a faster paced solid movie that doesnt leave you scratching your head. I think I cheered at Steves introduction, it was so much better.

Then theres the soundtrack... I loved it Im not sure why the original didnt embrace an 80s soundtrack, but we have it now. Thank you Wakeupkeo.

After the first WW movie, this sequel was disappointing. Weak story, so much fluff, unconvincing SFX, not utilizing the opportunity of having fun with 1980's music (though I hadn't realized that last one until I saw Wakeupkeo's edit).

This edit convincingly improves on the original. The story is tighter, the runtime feels appropriate, the added music is truly Excellent.

Audio and video editing is smooth. The sound replacement is truly next level (for us faneditors who are limited to working with post-mix audio). For those interested in the technical effort involved with all the sound replacement, check out the Unscored Workprint in its separate forum thread.

Narrative and enjoyment still suffer from the poor original, It's much improved, but won't get re-watched often.

A fun alternative to the deeply flawed original. Fixes everything that can be fixed and the 80s soundtrack is a nice addition
