Brief Synopsis:
Wonder Woman 1918 is an entirely new experience from the 2017 original, with tighter pacing, a better climax, and zero connection to the larger DCEU.
Intention:
I loved Wonder Woman, but it does, at times, fall into those same superhero film cliches we've all grown to hate. This edit seeks to refine the film into its most pure form.
Additional Notes:
The New DCEU: While Wonder Woman 1918 can be viewed as a standalone film, it also acts as the first entry into my New DCEU series, an edit of the entire DCEU franchise that seeks to create a more unified shared universe experience between films. You can view this as a sort of DCEU Continuity series, I suppose. Wonder Woman 1918 is the first film in the New DCEU viewing order, followed by Superman - Last Son.

Cuts and Additions:
Complete Cutlist (Film Spoilers Included)

-Some light color grading throughout
-Added fanedit warning
-Added Youtube RED style FE.org logo
-Added new WB and DC production logos ripped from the Batman v. Superman official trailer
-Removed Diana's intro monologue
-Removed everything up until Hippolyta begins reading Diana the story of the old Gods, which acts as the new opening
-Removed German soldier asking "Where did this fog come from?"
-Removed shot of German soldier looking back after encountering the glamour
-Removed Steve saying "wow" and a lot of staring
-Trimmed the lasso interrogation slightly and removed Steve's "It's Hot" remark
-Removed the girl tending to Diana saying "strange" in regards to Diana's wound healing so quickly
-Removed Diana making eye contact with the animal before she breaks into the armory
-Removed Hippolyta fearing that Ares will find Diana
-Trimmed some of the shots during Steve and Diana's conversation aboard the boat
-Removed the entire 'pleasure of the flesh' bit
-Removed Ludendorff shooting his own men
-Removed Doctor Poison's "To restore your strength" line, as it makes no sense
-Moved the scene of Doctor Poison testing the gas on the gasmask to this part of the film, giving us an extended look at our main villains and establishing their threat very early on
-Removed Diana looking confused in London, the remarks on hand-holding, and the 'we're not together' bit
-Removed the 'bad guy convention' line
-Removed "Is there anything else you wanna show me?"
-Since the second Doctor Poison scene is missing, the film just continues from the discussion with Patrick Morgan to the intelligence meeting
-Removed Diana and Steve kissing in the hotel
-Removed shot of Diana reaching for her sword
-Rearranged the set-up to the climax fight, I've strung together all of Diana's conversation with Ares so it goes straight from "I am not what you thought I was" to "I am not your enemy Diana"
-Removed "that is not the God-killer"
-Steve and Co.'s scenes are pushed back slightly
-Removed Ares explaining that Diana is the true God-killer, as it's abundantly clear by this point, now Diana lassos Ares after he claims "only a God can kill another God"
-Removed Ares stating he's not the God of War, but the God of Truth, as I dislike Ares' being able to cheat the lasso, and several other lines, now his speech goes "I am [telling the truth]. They start these wars on their own. When you first arrived, I was going to crush you.", now it's more clear that Ares is just trying to trick Diana
-Removed "My dear, I don't want to fight you, but if I must...", now Ares shocks Diana the moment she refuses his offer
-Removed "Good-bye brother", as the line is not at all earned
-Diana's closing narration now begins as she's walking up to the memorial wall to look at Steve's picture
-Removed the modern day ending and the shot of Diana soaring into the sky
-The film proper now ends on the shot of the photograph
-Added '1918' to the film's ending title card

Original runtime is 2hr 29m, my trimmed version's runtime clocks in at 2hr 9m, with a whopping 20 minutes cut out for a much tighter pacing with a quicker set-up, less clunky exposition, and a more streamlined final battle with Ares.

Not a big fan of this film, mostly because of the cheesy moments, but you succeed in making me love it, Very strong edit. Bravo.

Wonder Woman release was a mixed bag for me as a long time fan. What i like the most in this edit is how subtle changes it does to make the whole experience a way more enjoyable one. Its he only version of this film in my head now!

One of the better entries of the recent spate of DC movies is made even stronger thanks to very judicious editing out of exposition and forced humour. The charm of the characters and setting are allowed to stand out even more and although WW will always be in the shadow of that other "superhero-in-a-World-War-starring-a-guy-named-Steve" movie, this cut makes the theme of "war as an eternal, unconquerable aspect of mankind" hit home in a way that gives the film real gravitas, and by the time it gets around to driving home that point, you haven't been checking your watch waiting for the whole thing to be over. My one criticism would be the decision to remove the explicit statement that Diana is the God-Killer weapon. Although I'm perfectly OK with the film retaining Diana's (proper, let's be honest) origin as a clay sculpture, some clarity-of-stakes in the midst of a climactic CGI slugfest is never a bad idea, to my mind. In all, though, a terrific edit that deserves to be your go-to version of the film for DCEU marathons.

This is a fantastic edit. I like the original film a lot, but TinyBreadMouse nailed the little bits that could use rework. I had to go to the edit list to remind myself of what was done, I could not detect any edits at all while watching.

The biggest improvements are tightening up the intro exposition and the interminable final battle with Ares. The are the parts that really dragged for me in the original and now they move along at a good pace without shortchanging the story. Cutting the cliche or cheesy quips through the movie helps elevate it also.

I just wish the audio were in 5.1 and not stereo, but that didn't reduce enjoyment of this great edit.

I first watched this movie a few months ago and enjoyed it but it did drag on a bit towards the end, so the scenes removed helped speed up the pace and all the audio and video edits are perfectly executed and wouldn't be noticeable to a first time viewer. This is my go to version due to being shorter then the original which makes it more enjoyable because of it.
